Oxford Innovation EIS Growth Fund alongside OION angel investors, has invested more than £700,000 in CharterSync, the industry-leading digital air cargo charter platform, to support its next phase of growth.
Founded to disrupt the slow, fragmented and manual processes of traditional cargo charter brokering, CharterSync provides freight forwarders and logistics operators with an integrated, data-driven digital platform. Its proprietary system uses algorithmic matching and dynamic pricing models to automate and optimise the booking and operational workflow of air cargo chartering.
The industry is under mounting pressure from e-commerce growth, supply chain volatility and the need for just-in-time logistics. CharterSync is positioned to meet this challenge by providing freight forwarders with faster decision-making, improved accuracy and operational resilience. This latest investment allows the company to target enhancements across AI developments, predictive pricing, demand forecasting and intelligent routing modules.
Oxford Innovation Finance continues to demonstrate its commitment to backing breakthrough, technology-driven businesses across sectors with its latest investment in CharterSync. It aligns closely with the mission to partner with innovators that can modernise legacy industries, deliver significant impact and scale globally.
Ed Gillett, Founder of CharterSync said: “We’re excited to progress this new phase of growth with backed support from Oxford Innovation Finance. Their experience with scaling technology businesses and access to a high-quality investor network will be invaluable as we deepen our AI capabilities, enhance our platform and expertise, and transform the air cargo charter industry to define the digital future for freight forwarders.”
Chris Oliver, Investment Principal at Oxford Innovation Finance, commented: “The air cargo charter market has long been underserved by digital innovation. CharterSync’s platform brings speed, data intelligence and automation to a traditionally slow, opaque, relationship-based industry. We are proud to support Ed and the CharterSync team as they scale globally, build advanced AI systems and deliver lasting change across logistics and supply chains.”
