What is our approach?
We have been successfully connecting investors with companies for over 30 years. We screen hundreds of business proposals and carefully select high-quality investment opportunities to present to our network.
Our selection criteria for proposals includes:
- high growth potential with a scalable business model
- a credible and committed management team/founders
- clear market for product/service with a sustainable competitive advantage
- barrier to entry/niche in market
- knowledge of market
- seeking between £100,000 – £2,000,000
- a well-thought-out growth strategy with potential for exit.
How to join OION as an investor member?
We welcome enquiries from experienced investors and those exploring angel investing for the first time.
- If you wish to join the OION angel network as an investor member, please register your interest via our online Investor Registration There is currently no fee for investor membership.
- Your application will be reviewed and, if successful, you will receive invitations to our Showcase events and a personal login to access our online investor member portal.
- If you wish to confidentially speak to one of our team in the first instance, please contact us to arrange a time to chat.
- The Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 requires investors to be self-certified as Sophisticated Investors or High Net Worth Individuals. You can find our Guide for Investors and certification statements in our Resources section below.

Step 1. Complete our online Investor Registration form.
Step 2. Your application will be reviewed and one of our team will contact you to arrange a time to speak over the phone to understand your investment interests.
Step 3. Once your membership is approved you will receive invitations to our Showcase events and a personal login to access our online investor member portal.
